Luck.
It isn’t something that just happens. Some people say it’s karma, some believe it’s the work of the spirits, others think it’s just totally random.
I don’t know how it works either.
But I do know that it isn’t just a simple piece of mechanism. If you happen to be so lucky, you do not just take it in your stride, wait for the next one. If you happen to be so lucky, don’t splurge it; don’t waste it; don’t just take it as just another moment of excitement.
If you happen to be so lucky as to find a dollar coin on the pavement, realize how lucky your life has already been and give it to someone who needs it more. If you happen to be so lucky as to have narrowly escaped death, realize that just a bit of miscalculation could have resulted in your not even being alive to realize it.
If you happen to be so lucky as to stumble upon a special someone, make sure you wrap your arms around her, and hold her tight like there is no tomorrow. She can let go anytime she wants, but you can’t. You can’t.

And so Rockafella’s over. Was quite fun, and some of the bands are reallllly good. I didn’t know there were such good bands in school. And the ones who played Tenacious D’s Tribute were damn hilarious. Was great playing with Daniel and Delvin, they are very nice people (nods).
Adding on to the experience is the prescence of a certain someone, which I didn’t know about until I was done with my set. An extremely pleasant surprise, it was. Thank you :) Oh and thank you Haowen too! Hahaha. Cunning, you guys.
And so because of that I’m going to be quite smiley the rest of today. Mmhmm.

To the unpleasant co-habitants of my house:
You have disappointed me. I let you stay here because I was being nice. It was supposed to be just you and your brother roaming arond occasionally. Scuttling around. And letting Rocky chase you sometimes.
But you have taken things too far. Now there are at least 7 of you here. Thinking the house has become yours. Taking on more than the dark corners of the house where I could have chosen to ignore your prescence. Spawning, making an army of your own. Terrorising Rocky, even. I will not take it lying down. I will not let you run this place. I will not let you walk over my chocolate like nobody’s business.
This is war.
