Went down to the Swee Lee sale this morning with Iris, and after we bought our stuff she was walking around with a smile on her face – cause she got herself a new acoustic. Awww. Haha! Ah well, it was pretty fun. She’s nice company.

Bought me another strap, finally I don’t have to switch straps between the acoustic and electric for gigs. Got a Boss SD-1 as well, But I’m not really excited about it – yet. Not really in the whole electric mood, but it was something that’d I’d been wanting to buy to replace the thrashy one I’ve got. Bought other miscellaneous stuff as well.

I just realized I’d had a dream the night before about being at the sale, it was quite a bad one because when we got there, the store was virtually emptied out. Good thing that didn’t happen in reality.

Been having so many dreams the past couple of nights.

Ah well. I’ve been in the whole writing mood lately. Don’t have much time to really sit down and go about making a solid one, and I don’t really want to; not right now anyway. Trying to fill my days up so that they pass faster. I must say I’ve been quite successful in doing so, too. So that’s good.

I’m in the mood for something spicy today.

Ngah Sze/Yasi/Nazi/Bevelyn! We gave her a mini surprise over at one of the little cafes at Central, called Paisley and smth(i can’t remember). Funny thing: the waiter came over with the muffin and candle and all, ready to sing along with us… but we had to stop him with ‘no no on she’s in the toilet!!’. Amusing that was. But Yasi looked happy after and that’s good!

Henny! Choonie and I appeared early in the morning at her place, and caught her in her jammies! Hoho. Made her Gingerbread men too, since she was(and still is) obsessed about the one in Shrek. Then we went over to Sushi Tei for lunch, since we all knew Henny’s birthday wouldn’t be complete without Salmon Sashimi. Yum.

Shuang’s Birthday wasn’t much of a surprise (as much as it was intended to be one), but we all had fun anyway! A nice little dinner, taking weird pictures in the middle of Marina Square, then a drink at IndoChine’s Forbidden City which got me started on House/Electronica music. Teehee.

Haowen’s Birthday Celebration! Was meant to be a surprise too, but Haowen wasn’t in a good mood so Ele told her and like magic her mood turned. Hahaha. Must be the balloons. Think Haowen was happy so it was good! Went to Balcony for a stoning session and home we went.

So (wipes prespiration off forehead) finally, we’re done with June birthdays. Now with the rest of them. Hahaha. For those who’re sill waiting, you’ll turn 18 (or a year older, depending on how old you are) sooner or later! For those whose birthdays come ‘later’ (hello choonie), patience is a virtue! Hahahahaha (easy for me to say). So yep. That’s all for today.

Now if you’ll excuse me, I have to go empty my bowels involuntarily.

In the midst of all the post-holiday exams, this might be something that may give some sort of motivation.

Don’t think it’s working on me, but I’ll just pretend it is. You can take the quiz too, and find your path (stares at Henny).

So I did bake. Stones.

And today I woke up with a bubble breakout on my palms and three fingers. And they itch. Oh man, haven’t had them in a while.

And I’m very much in the mood for a beach getaway. :( I’m quite thankful for going the other time (which is far too long ago) with Choonie and Yanni, otherwise I’d still be thinking trips like these were kinda not worth the money. Beach, beach!

I should go study.

Here’s a short update on my life:

I lost my IC. I’m too lazy to upload pictures, so those who want to see Henny’s awesomezXzx morning hair will have to be patient. I failed the bloody basic theory test. I’m revisiting my retarded peeling process – two weeks after going to Sentosa and getting burnt, my arms are finally starting to peel. Badly. Rocky is whining to me to scratch him.

Currently starting to get really hooked onto stuff like Bjork, Portishead, the ambient kind of electronic. Cool stuff. Hip hop is still not my thing, nope. I’m suffering from a flu (which i think and hope I’m already recovering from) due to a night at Wala’s where while the air conditioner was still on, a big fan was blowing directly at me. Caught the UnXpected there, but the usual bassist and drummer weren’t playing then. So it wasn’t as good or hyped up. Gonna make it a point to go check them out again when they’re back.

Exams start Friday. I haven’t started studying, so I’m quite screwed. Should study, should study.

I think I’m gonna go bake.

It wasn’t a dream. On the contrary, it was so much more of an awakening than anything else. Eyes open, conscious of every detail, every move, making sure it stayed embedded in my mind for a long time to come. I was awake, and that was real.

But now? Now it’s back to slumber, into hibernation. At least it’s comfortable, and the temperature’s fine.

Come wake me when it’s time.

… On a lighter note, I’ve added a Food category. Hoho! I should start studying.

I think I should create more categories for this place. Categories? For those who don’t know, if you look at the right column there’s this little section under ‘Categories’. That’s where the posts here are classified. This is one of the aspects of wordpress that I many likes.

As evident the ‘Random’ category seems to be dominating. In my defence, that’s because I post here out of randomness most of the time. I’m thinking of splitting the randoms up into specific categories though. Easier to navigate, I guess? In a  ‘Step right up, kids! Here’s your chance to choose which kind of random garbage you want to read!’ kind of way.

Any suggestions?

Why’s it called a category anyway. Why Cat? This, my dear friends, is another piece of evidence that cats are indeed taking over the world.

Guess I’ll work on that tonight or tomorrow. Now I’ve to go off to finally start studying (I hope) with Choonie, then have dinner with our bunch of old friends :) Old. Hahaha.

Fish Head Curry. It’s tricky business, to be able to enjoy it as much as you can.

First of all there’re preferences. If eating with company, make sure to find out whether they take fish curry in the first place! (coughs at Haowen) And then it has to get through your own preference – if you don’t want to eat too much of it, bring people who love fish curry along. If you want it all to yourself, just dine with 3 haowens and pretend you’re sharing it.

Then there is what the curry is served on. As we all know there’s a ton of vegetables you don’t usually see in curry that give Fish curry its own taste. Ladies’ fingers, brinjals, tomatoes, godknowswhatelse. How you get to enjoy the curry depends on where these vegetables are floating. (I’m being particular about this because I had Fish Head Curry at home yesterday and the surface area of the container wasn’t big enough for the vegetables to float around the sides of the Fish Head. They ended up stacked on top of the Fish. How to eat like that! Kns.)

Then there’s the taste of the curry. But this depends on where you go to eat your Fish Head Curry, make sure you choose the right place!

One very important factor of enjoyment about eating Fish Head Curry is, of course, the Fish Head itself. Please feel free to complain continuously to the people you’re with as well as the people you bought the curry from if the Fish Head has no meat. I mean, yeaaaa I guess you can call it Fish Head Curry if there’s a Fish Head in it, but I think people would want to eat the Fish meat also. And no, Ikan Bilis(dried anchovies) head is not counted.

… Yep. I’m actually seriously spouting rubbish on this post. No parallel meanings or anything. Just rubbish. I’m hungry and waiting for my lunch, I can’t help it.
